Abstract

|
This research aims to examine the effect of elderly`s abuse experiences on the suicidal ideation and analyze moderating effects of coping behavior while being abused. The study involved 344 old people who are 65 years old or above and village center for elderly, welfare centers for the elderly, and colleges for the elderly in Seoul and Gyeonggi province. Collected data were analyzed with the SPSS 18.0 program. According to the results of this study, abuse experiences were found to have positive effects on the suicidal ideation and the moderating effect of coping behavior.
